On a sunny Sunday in September, my friend and collaborator, Jules Bakshi, and her friend and collaborator, filmmaker Ian Rex Arrow Wolfson, gathered a team of dancers (yours truly included) to create "Make Me Well."

Part public service announcement, part satire, part art film, this is the end result.

New project!

Meeting today with composer Benjamin Scheuer and dancer/collaborator extraordinaire Jules Bakshi to discuss a new project. I will be directing and choreographing a dance portion for an operetta, written by Benjamin, based on Oscar Wilde's beautiful (depressing?) short story "The Nightingale and the Rose."

I have choreographed and am dancing in a duet, "Humor Me," with the wonderful Maggie Embick. Come see my work, and the work of the rest of the Barnard senior dance majors.

*A note on directions.
Because of the construction of the new student center at Barnard, the best (albeit not the most scenic) way to get to Minor Latham Playhouse is through the gates at 119th Street and Claremont (1 block west of Broadway). Make a left after entering through the glass doors, and continue through the narrow hallway. Make a hairpin left turn onto the first set of stairs you can find, and walk up to the first floor. Make a left out of the staircase and continue around the u-shaped hallway through a set of double doors, through the main lobby of the building and around to the Minor Latham Playhouse.

Here is a little home-made map for your convenience:
